Unexpected
the note in my box
today,
that spoke straight
to the axe-pick of
doubt and critique,
spoke kindness and courage
to the vacuum-space
around my head,
that tipped me,
undid me…
unexpected,
the gesture,
the unsigned note,
unexpected,
my response,
much like this post,
overturning the day,
switching O for U.
Pushing the Bruise 
So well deserved
oh, that made me cry. Thank God for students who are brave enough to encourage their teachers like that. And thank God for teachers who deserve it.
