V is for…
…veracious. Did you even know that’s a word? I didn’t. I looked up v-words for inspiration and came across veracity, which I know and love, and discovered that the adjective form of veracity is veracious. Who knew?
veracious—habitually speaking the truth; truthful; honest; true, accurate, or honest in content
Then I free-associated to voracious, naturally, given the similarity of sound between the two. Quite a different word.
voracious—craving or consuming large quantities of food; exceedingly eager or avid
Could one be voracious about being veracious? (My friend calls it being “relentlessly honest.”) Working on that.
Hmm. Such food for thought!
