V is for

V is for…

veracious.  Did you even know that’s a word?  I didn’t.  I looked up v-words for inspiration and came across veracity, which I know and love, and discovered that the adjective form of veracity is veracious.  Who knew?

veracious—habitually speaking the truth; truthful; honest;  true, accurate, or honest in content

Then I free-associated to voracious, naturally, given the similarity of sound between the two.  Quite a different word.

voracious—craving or consuming large quantities of food; exceedingly eager or avid

Could one be voracious about being veracious?  (My friend calls it being “relentlessly honest.”)  Working on that.
