Y is for

April 29, 2014

Y is for…

…yes.  The month of April was, in many respects, about saying yes.

Saying yes to life.

Yes to relentless positivity.

Yes to opening my hands, both to let go the death grip and to receive.

Yes to trust.

Yes to faith.

Yes to love, the deep reservoir of always-available and ever-abundant love.

Yes to grace and mercy.

Yes to compassion, for myself as much as for others.

Yes to possibility.

Yes to hope rather than expectation.

Yes to the God of love, over against the God of judgment and punishment.

Yes to admitting openly and honestly what I want.

Yes to freeflowing tears.

Yes to independence.

Yes to moving my body and lightening the load.

Yes to self-care, both radical and mundane.

Saying yes, fear and discomfort exist, but saying yes to living life anyway.

Yep, that about sums up the April journey.

Dont-say-yes.-Be-yes
