Tonight I am thankful for…

 

air conditioning at school,

air conditioning in my car,

fans at home that move air,

water from the hose to save curled-leaved plants,

cats who so don’t care,

good memories of dogs with softest ears…

 

pushing the bruises of death and loss

and knowing we’ll survive…

 

tears and laughter

in a saladbowl mix,

 

students in the classroom,

after hours, hanging out,

a work and humor blend—it’d

been so long…
