Daily Prompt: Beach
Sand in my swimsuit,
sand in my shoe,
sand in my buttcrack
—yep, got it there, too—
sand in my eyeballs,
sand in my hair,
sand in my ears now,
sand everywhere;
sand in my teeth—crunch!
—I’m getting incensed—
sand in my sandwich
—well, I guess that makes sense.

For the month of May, I will be posting something daily, namely some kind of respond to The Daily Post’s daily prompt or some other prompt, unless a poem or post visits me of its own accord, unbidden and welcomed.
Oh. My. Heck. You just made my day.
Sharing. Hope you don’t mind.
No, ma’am, not in the least! Thank you!
Aw. Glad! Thank you!
I smiled when I read this. Thanks for that!
Thanks! I rather smiled as I wrote it.
Sunshine and sand. What is there not to love about this poem. I know, you didn’t say anything about sunshine, but beach and sand. Love it.
Sunshine goes hand in hand with the beach…even when it’s overcast. (You can still burn when it’s overcast, as I was always told as a kid.)
Okay, now I want to go to the beach. And in Oregon it isn’t really warm enough. And you can’t body surf, not really. Sigh. 🙂
Ahhhh, yes. Well…it’s always warm enough if you’ve got good jackets. 😉 The pics actually *are* from Cannon Beach a couple of years ago.
I’ll have one of those sand sandwiches! This is just delightful.
Ewww! Crunch, crunch. LOL!
