A to Z Blog Challenge Meets NaPoWriMo
Theme: It’s the Little Things

Apple Tree
Faithful white flowers,
on gnarled, bore-pocked, mossy bark:
Age and beauty sing.
Approach
A wind
is winding through the trees;
it comes as no surprise,
for, like the child attempting stealth, it
foretells its own approach
and leaves a wake behind itself.
I love your poetry, and I’m so glad you’re doing the challenge with poems. I have so much to learn.
Thank you, Crystal! I have much to learn, too. I just try to practice noticing and listening.
These are wonderful, Roslynn. “Age and beauty sing…”
Thank you, Laura! I’m working on my poetic turns, the “so what” of the poem.
Reading these poems, I can better understand why you struggle to write a novel. Novelists spew words, you know? But you, you distill them, finding treasures and setting them like gems.
Sigh. But what if I wanna do both? LOL. (I know, I know, we can’t do everything…)
Lovely. Can’t decide if I like bore-pocked or wind better.
Thank you, Antonia! Your beautiful trees give a poet (and a photographer) much to work with.
Beautiful.
