A to Z Blog Challenge Meets NaPoWriMo
Theme: It’s the Little Things

Guest Post by Crystal Thieringer of Muse & Meander:
I met Crystal almost a year and a half ago in the My 500 Words Facebook group. An easy friendship formed, and I have been blessed to be in several incarnations of smaller writing groups with her. I quickly learned that when one wanted the unvarnished truth about a piece of one’s writing, but truth diplomatically delivered, Crystal was the woman to seek out. Today she takes the letter W and shares a poem she wrote about a precious, ephemeral gift she was witness to.

Wonder
“I saw this, I thought of you.”
Perfect
Watching
Changing daily, personalities emerging
Magical
Warming
Plaintive cries, sibling rivalry, exploring together
Sweet
Witness
Curiosity, new toes, clicking sounds
Amusing
Wakeful
Testing limits, flexing muscles, finding brave
Charming
Winging
Soundless, sad, so quick
Right
Wistful
One more hour, one more day, maybe two
Mournful
Waiting
A call, an answer, a heartbeat response
Fleeting
Worried
Did you fall? Were you hurt? Were you hiding?
Frightening
Waffling
Go, don’t go, go, no don’t
Weeping
Wholeness
Owlets on the rooftop
Gift
